Wild swim meet Borrowdale
This year we are staying at FRCC Salving House hut in Borrowdale. There are a wealth of brilliant tarns in the area plus Derwent water not to mention the river. The focus if the weather is good is to go to Lambfoot Dub (NY2211 0841). This is a tiny tarn hidden away above the corridor route, surprisingly deep and with amazing views. On the way back there are small tarns on Glaramara or Sprinkling Crag tarn hidden away just north of Sprinkling Tarn. If the weather is poorer Blackmoss Pot in Langstrath is a great place which we have been to before but is now extremely popular with the tik tok brigade.
Bring your usual walking gear plus hot drink and minimum of cossie, towel and neoprene footwear. So far this year the water is still crazy cold but you never know by July. Do book into the hut. Michelle is taking names.
