Dinbren, Clywd
Dinbren is the home of arguably Clwyd’s best sport climbing. Though much of it in the upper grades, there are still a few routes in the 6b/+ range to go at. There are also over 50 trad routes at HVS and below to go at for those of us more traditionally inclined.
It’s a bit of a drive from Manchester which is why I’ve selected pretty much the longest Wednesday evening of the year for this one but even then an early start is probably advisable. If Dinbren is a bit steep for your lining then we’re very close to Trevor Rocks which has literally zillions of lower grade sport climbs to keep anyone amused for a long summer evening.
Parking can be a bit competitive so I’d recommend car sharing where possible. As the sun sets I intend to set a world record in terms of descent time in order to hit last orders at the Sun Trevor though given civil twilight ends at 22.34 that day it might be mission impossible!
So, Dinbren, looks nice, never been there. UKC link for the curious - https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crags/dinbren_crags-426/
