Memories of Peter Walker

Peter was one of the KMC's keenest and most able members. When I was President, he was a major supporter and helped organise several events.
I also have memories of him steaming past me in a Club Race around the Coniston Fells, for he was a part of a group of very fit KMC climbing fell runners; Barber, Astles, Jones & Co.
In my experience he was always thoughtful, understanding and helpful. I cannot remember him being otherwise, and his was a wise counsel for being President of the KMC, full to the brim as it is with strong minded individuals, Pete was always so. And for sure he will be mourned and missed by all of us who were his friends.
